As someone looking to go into public relations, marketing, or a related field, I am thrilled to continue working on becoming a better writer. Journalism is a skill that can be used in many different professional capacities, and I think college is the time to really hone your skills as a writer. With that said, I expect this class will help me grow as a writer and journalist. I also think that as a writer it is critical to stay on top of global news and issues. I know this class will encourage me to stay well-informed on current events because we will be discussing and writing about them frequently.
